Privacy Policy

Short version: today, this Site collects only what you submit through the waitlist form — your email address and, optionally, an X (Twitter) handle. We use it to tell you when OptionPerps opens access, and nothing else.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how OptionPerps ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this website (the "Site"). OptionPerps is currently pre-launch; the trading terminal shown on the Site is a simulated preview, not a live product, and does not itself collect or process any trading data because no real trading occurs.

We use PostHog, a product analytics tool, to measure how the Site is used. Its requests are routed through this Site's own domain. It is configured for analytics only: we do not run advertising or ad-targeting scripts, and we do not share this data with advertising networks. When you submit the waitlist form, your email address is recorded in PostHog alongside your visit so we can contact you. The interactive trading terminal on the page runs entirely in your browser; the simulated trades and positions you generate are not sent to us, though the market you select and other clicks are recorded as ordinary usage analytics.
3. How we use your information
- To send you updates about the OptionPerps product and launch, including access invitations;
- To understand aggregate interest in the waitlist (e.g. how many people signed up);
- To maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
The Site does not set third-party advertising cookies. Our analytics tool sets a first-party cookie and uses your browser's local storage to recognize repeat visits from the same browser and to group your activity into a session. Your browser's local storage also keeps a copy of any waitlist submission on your own device; that copy stays in your browser.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the Site and the waitlist (currently PostHog for product analytics, and an email delivery provider when we contact you), bound by confidentiality obligations, or if required to comply with law.
6. Data retention
We retain waitlist information for as long as needed to run the waitlist and, if you're admitted, to operate your account once a live product launches, or until you ask us to delete it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've submitted, or to stop receiving communications from us, at any time by contacting us via X at @optionperps.
8. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
9. Changes to this policy
As OptionPerps moves from a pre-launch waitlist to a live product, this policy will be updated to reflect what a live trading product actually collects and processes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when that happens.
